This is the palace Ceausescu built to ensure his glory. It is the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon. You can read about it in another blog posting, but it was somewhat repulsive that he starved his citizens and forced them to labor to build it. It was not completed when he was executed. It stands mostly empty and looks older than it should for a 20-year old building.
